Manchester United Football Club have been playing some brilliant football recently, and the man who seems to be scoring all the goals at the moment is Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The 35-year-old made it 26 goals on the season in the EFL Cup final yesterday to continue his rich vein of form.
It’s definitely fair to say that Zlatan won us the trophy pretty much single-handedly. As a team, we were poor yesterday, but that winning mentality really did shine through and in the end, it was us that were celebrating.
Now the praise has been heaped upon our star striker even further, and it comes from Liverpool icon Jamie Carragher who even adds that he wishes we’d have had him in the Premier League ten years earlier.
“For him to be carrying one of the biggest clubs in the world, Manchester United, at his age, in the most difficult position on the field. I just think we’re watching something special.” Carragher said. “You only wish that we’d had him in the Premier League ten years ago.”

This alone just says how instrumental he has been in anything good about Manchester United this year. When he came in, I personally would have been overjoyed if he managed to hit double figures in terms of goals output, and I honestly don’t believe anyone who says they knew it would go this well.
It just goes to show the character of the man. At this point in his career we should be seeing him deteriorating as a player, when in fact, it feels like he’s getting better and better. We’re supremely lucky to call him our own.
