Casemiro ready to be ‘unleashed’ against Arsenal

Erik ten Hag may well hand Casemiro his first Man United start against Arsenal today.

Manchester United Football Club have been on a good run lately, though their toughest test takes place today.

Arsenal visit Old Trafford with their 100% winning record in tact. Mikel Arteta’s man are playing well, though I fancy our lads to get something out of this game, roared on by the Theatre of Dreams crowd.

Erik ten Hag has kept faith in those that have delivered the positive results over the last few matches, though we could see a change or two made here…

One man who could well come into the line-up is Casemiro, with Ten Hag confirming to the media that the United star is now ready to be ‘unleashed’ on Arsenal today, as he’s used to playing in big games.

Casemiro has made a career out of mopping up, doing the dirty work and passing the ball on to teammates in more advanced positions. The defensive solidity he brings to the table is absolutely unmatched throughout Europe. I’m excited to see him play this afternoon.

Erik ten Hag was asked whether Casemiro is ready to be ‘unleashed’ on Arsenal: “I think so. He is used to playing big games.” The gaffer is quoted as saying live to Sky Sports, by @UtdDistrict.

The question we have to ask is who’ll be dropped? I imagine Ten Hag will keep faith in Christian Eriksen due to his creativity and work rate from deep, meaning Scott McTominay is likely to be the one who misses out.

The Scotland international has actually played well during this run, though with due respect, Casemiro is in a different stratosphere in terms of playing that defensive-midfield position.

I think we’re all just excited to see Casemiro in action. He was a mega-money signing, there’s no getting away from that. We’re all eager to watch him play, while that old Trafford crowd will be behind the Brazil international every single step of the way.

I also expect Cristiano Ronaldo to come back into the line-up here.
