Man United midfielder Casemiro is still expected to leave this summer, with Saudi Pro League sides considering a move.
Manchester United are undergoing major change at the moment, with INEOS and Sir Jim Ratcliffe now pulling the strings. It seems like their first order of business is to tighten the belt somewhat and curb unnecessary spending.
Some big earners have already been given their marching orders. Raphael Varane and Anthony Martial have left, while others are expected to follow before the summer is out. It seems like Casemiro is next on the chopping block.
It’s Fabrizio Romano with the news, with the transfer guru confirming that the United midfielder is still ‘expected’ to leave the club this summer, assuming a good proposal arrives.
Case is attracting interest from the Saudi Pro League, with several clubs considering a move for the Brazilian midfielder. However, no decision is expected imminently, as the club look to sort out Erik ten Hag’s future first.

Casemiro’s situation is interesting. Obviously, he’s the highest paid player at the club right now, though if we’re being honest, his recent performances do not justify that wage packet. Whether it be the Brazilian getting older, or the fact the injuries slowly mounted up last season remains to be seen.
I can see both sides of the argument. Casemiro’s best days are obviously behind him, though he’s such an experienced player and he could use that to help the dressing room on the whole.
In the end, it does sound like his sale is wholly dependent on what sort of offers United receive for his signature. The Reds will be keen on recouping as much as the £60m they paid to sign him as possible. Given his age, that may prove difficult.
