Casemiro won the Player of the Match award on his full Premier League debut vs Everton.

Manchester United Football Club had to execute the come-from-behind victory at Goodison Park last night – a ground with a hostile atmosphere where it’s never easy to play football. The lads deserve credit for that.

The game itself was a close-knit, tense affair, just as you’d expect. The situation was made even tougher for United in the early minutes, as Casemiro gave the ball away, allowing Alex Iwobi to score a screamer to give his side the lead.

However, the Brazilian would absolutely not let that momentary lapse in concentration get him down.

Instead, he’d go on to win the Player of the Match award for a sublime all-round performance. This is exactly why United went out there and paid big for the Brazilian.

Check out Casemiro, all-smiles, with his Player of the Match award for his display vs Everton here:

Nobody made more tackles on the pitch than Casemiro. Finally, United have someone reliable at the base of their midfield and it’s absolutely brilliant watching him work.

Sure, he may not be the best with the ball at feet as there were some sloppy passes, but look at his ball into Cristiano Ronaldo for the eventual winner. it was weighted to perfection.

You can just see the all-round class that Casemiro brings to the team. He’s super calm, confident and composed at all times. United needed more of that and they have a serial winner on their hands here. I genuinely believe without him on the field, the Reds lose that game every single time.

Congratulations on a stunning full league debut, Casemiro!
