Championship club Bristol City are preparing a £1million move to sign Manchester United goalkeeper, Dean Henderson.
That’s according to The Sun, per the Bristol Post, with the report adding that The Robins are eyeing Henderson as their new #1, while there are question marks regarding goalkeeper Frank Fielding.
Henderson, 21, is an immensely talented young man. However, he’s always been up against it at Old Trafford. Breaking through into the first-team is no easy task, particularly with the likes of David de Gea and Sergio Romero ahead of him in the pecking order.
Just last month, Arsenal were linked with a move for the Englishman who spent this season on loan with Shrewsbury Town. An elite Premier League side showing an interest in Henderson tells you everything you need to know about his talents.
Although the prospect of moving to North London with Arsenal must be a rather tempting one, I’d urge the shot-stopper to resist temptation and sign with Bristol City. They’ll be able to offer him regular playing time which is absolutely vital at this stage of his career.
It’d be a shame to let him go but in all honesty, a move away for him makes perfect sense for the good of his footballing career.
