Fellow Premier League side Chelsea could look to make a move to sign Jadon Sancho from Man United.

Manchester United have been desperately trying to move on from some fringe players this summer, as the Red Devils look to generate some extra funds for Erik ten Hag to re-invest back into the squad.

One man whose future has been up in the air for about a year now is Jadon Sancho. He was involved in a very public disagreement with the manager and despite the pair recently kissing and making up, the Englishman’s departure feels inevitable.

Over the last 24 hours, The Telegraph have provided an intriguing update on Sancho’s future, claiming that Premier League club Chelsea are now considering a ‘surprise late move’ for the winger…

Chelsea seem to be buying every player under the sun under Enzo Maresca and now they’re looking at possibly moving for the out-of-favour United star before Friday’s fast-approaching deadline.

Sancho has not been involved in the first two match-day squads of the season, which has only increased the transfer rumours.

Chelsea could even look to tempt United into some sort of swap deal, involving Raheem Sterling, who is trying to leave Stamford Bridge this summer.

It’s unclear whether United would be interested in Sterling, though I’d imagine most fans would find it tough to cheer for a player who has performed for both Liverpool and Manchester City.

United would like a fee of £40m to let Sancho leave, but a loan with an obligation to buy appears to be the most likely outcome as things stand.

Honestly, the sooner Sancho is gone, the better it’ll be for all involved.

  1. You suggest that the sooner Jadon Sancho is gone, the better it will be for all involved. If you believe that, you have not been watching Rashford and Antony much!
Rashford only seems to play to his potential in the year leading up to a contract renewal, other than that he is lazy.
As for Antony, if United suffer an injury to Garnacho or Amad, we have no back up; Antony is a one trick pony, who would not get a game for a championship club and would struggle to play in league 1.

The best thing for United is to keep Sancho and sell those two players
