Chido Obi-Martin is still keen on a move to Man United this summer. He is a free agent.

Manchester United have always fared better when signing younger players and giving them a chance to develop their talents. It has been far more fruitful than making marquee signings who arrive at Salford Quays under massive pressure.

It’s why I was pleased to see the links to sign Chido Obi-Martin a few weeks ago. The young forward, formerly over Arsenal, is regarded as one of the best talents in the world.

Now, journalist Christopher Michel has provided an update on Obi-Martin’s future, just a day after he has officially left Arsenal on a free transfer. He states that the exciting talent ‘still wants to join’ Manchester United this window.

The Reds are still working on the deal, amid a problem with the advisor’s commission fee. No doubt the agent is asking for a value way above typical market price, while United look to ensure the fee is kept as minimal as possible.

Check out Christopher Michel’s X post on the news here:

The longer the transfer goes on, the likes of Borussia Dortmund can remain in the race to sign the striker. Hopefully, United don’t wait too long in order to seal this deal.

Obi-Martin is a brilliant talent. There’s a reason why Arsenal fans have been so excited about the Dane. Now, it feels like he’s just days away from sealing a move to the Theatre of Dreams.

This is genuinely someone who can lead the line for United for multiple years, assuming that Obi-Martin’s development continues on this upward trajectory.
