Chris Smalling singles out young Man Utd defender and says he is ready to play regularly

Manchester United Football Club are known for producing their young talents, and nursing their ability turning them into world class stars. Chris Smalling obviously sees the development of players first-hand, and has singled out Cameron Borthwick-Jackson for individual praise.

The young defender has emerged recently, and has played his fair share of games over the last month or so.

“I think Cameron Borthwick-Jackson showed that he is ready for a stage like this.” Smalling said.

This is certainly high praise indeed, and whenever he has played at first-team level, he hasn’t looked out of place at all; particularly against Liverpool yesterday, when he replaced Ashley Young and looked very calm and composed in possession.

Hopefully this is a sign of things to come from the young man, who could well be the latest start to come out of Manchester United’s academy and make a big impact for the first-team.
