Chris Smalling speaks out about injury situation after limping off against Palace

Manchester United head to Wembley this weekend, with a game against Everton deciding who’ll contend the FA Cup final against either Watford or Crystal Palace next month. One man who gave us a scare about whether he will make that game or not is Chris Smalling, after he limped off the field in midweek.

Thankfully the 26-year old is ready and raring to go, and he’ll once again, have to be at his brilliant best to stop Romelu Lukaku and co.

“I’ll be fine. It was just a 50/50 and he caught me after, but it’s nothing serious.” Smalling said.

It would have been utterly cruel if Smalling missed the semi-final at Wembley. If theres one outfield player who deserves to play in a big game like that for United this season, it has to be our talented centre-back.

He has been superb all year long, and has without doubt turned into one of the best central defenders in the Premier League which is great credit to just how much he has developed over the last year or two.
