Christian Eriksen has been named Man United’s Player of the Month for September.
Over the summer, Manchester United Football Club made their move to sign Christian Eriksen on a free transfer.
Initially, I assumed that the Dane would be nothing but a rotational piece in order to give Bruno Fernandes some rest. The midfielder is proving us all wrong with some fantastic displays.
The 30-year-old has turned into a vital cog of the Erik ten Hag machine. It’s the simplicity with which he plays that has sent United on their way to some excellent performances and results.
Keeping it simple when needed, opting for that killer pass every now and then but always putting in maximum effort. Dare I say Eriksen has been a direct upgrade on Paul Pogba…?
Anyway, after an excellent month, Eriksen has been named United’s Player of the Month for September. Granted, the Reds only played a couple of games but the Dane was at the heart of everything good about our play.

I think it’s fitting for Ten Hag that two of his signings have won the first two POTM awards this season. The Dutch boss clearly knows exactly the type of player that’s required for this system and you absolutely love to see it panning out in a positive way.
For my money, Eriksen has been even better than we all envisioned. I fully expected someone who could come into the side and do a decent job when required. Instead, he’s become undroppable after some truly brilliant outings.
Congratulations on your Player of the Month award, Christian! Hopefully, this is the first of many.
