Manchester United may well get Christian Eriksen back from injury, sooner rather than later.

Manchester United Football Club were dealt a blow when Christian Eriksen went down on the back of a horror tackle from Andy Carroll. Typically, the media didn’t make much of the incident, with the English striker getting away with it in the media.

United, on the other hand, didn’t get away with it. They’d be missing their key midfielder for months. No doubt the Reds play far better with Eriksen in the side, with the period without him much tougher.

In a recent press conference, Erik ten Hag confirmed that the Dane was in line to return in April. Well, the man himself has given us a further indication that backs up that information…

Eriksen took to socials to share the welcome injury news, with the key star seemingly back in training, going from a protective boot, to a typical trainer, finally to a pair of studs. You absolutely love to see it.

Without Eriksen, United have not only been down a class player, but also an extra body in a key area of the field. Eriksen brings a calmness and general presence to the centre of the park – helping his team control games, particularly against those opponents who come to Old Trafford and sit back.

He’s capable of that killer pass. Take the Southampton draw for instance. He could have been the man to come up with that defence-splitting ball, creating an opportunity for United that they could have won the game because of.

No doubt Eriksen will be gradually eased back into things, though it’s truly heartening to have him back for the season run-in.
