Manchester United Football Club sold Ashley Fletcher to West Ham United on a permanent transfer yesterday, despite the striker making a brilliant impression whilst out on loan with Barnsley. Whilst it was sad t see him go, it was probably the correct decision.
Today, the 20-year-old took to Twitter to express his gratitude to everyone who helped him develop as a player and as a person at Manchester United.
In a classy Tweet, Fletcher went on to thank the fans for their support, as well as adding Barnsley on there for helping him develop as a player, too.
It is sad to see the young man leave, but it is probably in the best interests of himself, as well as the club. He already has the likes of Marcus Rashford in front of him, so opportunites would have been limited.

Thankyou to all the staff, players and fans at @ManUtd and @bfc_official for developing me as a player and person for the last 8 years! ??
