Club icon turns down two clubs in order to remain at Manchester United

Manchester United’s current assistant manager Ryan Giggs, has reportedly turned down two top-flight jobs over the last twelve months in order to remain as United’s assistant manager, according to the Daily Mail.

Its clear that Ryan Giggs is hanging around for one reason, and one reason only. He wants the Manchester United managerial job. However after two failed appointments, I struggle to see how the board at Old Trafford will take a huge gamble like that, and risk ruining the legacy of an absolute club legend.

After having the job on an interim basis for four games, the results and performances were certainly a mixed bag, but it is hard to judge Giggs as a manager in such a limited amount of games.

Personally I think they’ll go for the safer option, someone like Jose Mourinho or if possible Pep Guardiola, as those two moves would certainly guarantee more results rather than an inexperienced Giggs.
