This January transfer window certainly feels like a selling one from a Manchester United standpoint, with a big-money move for Morgan Schneiderlin having already gone through. Another red who could well be out the door come the end of the month is Memphis Depay.
RMC journalist Mohamed Bouhafsi has tweeted that French side Lyon have come back with an improved offer to sign winger Memphis Depay, but negotiations will continue as Manchester United look to hold out for more money.
He says that Lyon have offered €15m (£13.1million), but Manchester United are holding out for €20m (£17.5m).

Manchester United’s negotiating techniques seem to have gotten a lot tougher since Jose Mourinho took charge. The fee we got for Schneiderlin was much higher than expected which is obviously a huge plus, and it seems as though the same thing is happening again here.
As for Depay, it’s a real shame that it hasn’t worked out for him at Manchester United. He made the move to Old Trafford with a whole lot of pressure and weight on his shoulders, but unfortunately, he hasn’t lived up to the hype whatsoever.
It’s fair to say he has shown flashes of his capabilities, but consistency has been a real issue of his. I’ve no doubts that wherever he ends up will benefit from his best form, because he’ll obviously want to prove his doubters wrong.
