Club president admits Man Utd could sign their star player this summer

Manchester United fans could have been given the biggest hint yet that one of the best midfielders in the Serie A could be about to join. It comes directly from the horses mouth, as AS Roma’s president admitted Miralem Pjanic could sign for the Old Trafford club.

The news comes from the IB Times, who quite AS Roma’s president Jim Pallotta, saying that a £30million move could happen if Manchester United meet Pjanic’s buyout clause.

Jose Mourinho wants to add some steel to an aging Manchester United midfield, and the Bosnian Pjanic would bring plenty of that.

Now 26, he has been at Roma for a few years now and made a great impression on the Serie A. Plenty of clubs have been chasing his signature over the last couple of transfer windows, but it feels as though he could well be on the move this term.

Pallotta said: “Nainggolan has a contract and he is staying with us,” he explained, according to Football Italia. “Pjanic also has a contract and we want him to remain, but if they pay the clause…”

This is definitely the biggest hit yet that Pjanic could be on his way out of Roma this summer, and hopefully he makes the move to Manchester United.
