Club president sanctions Manchester United’s big-money move for 24-year-old: report

Manchester United could be about to land their man. According to Spanish media outlet AS, Real Madrid’s club president, Florentino Perez, has sanctioned Alvaro Morata’s move to the Theatre of Dreams. In a deal that’ll cost the Red Devils around £65million.

Morata has been constantly linked with a move to Old Trafford, after getting limited minutes with his boyhood club in the Spanish capital. To be honest, it was always going to be tough for him, with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of the 24-year-old in the pecking order.

To hear that Manchester United are on the verge of signing one of the most talented strikers in the world is a huge boost. As we all know, Zlatan Ibrahimovic hasn’t been offered a new deal and his goals need to be replaced.

In my humble opinion, there aren’t many better options out there than Morata, and he is a man who is capable of doing it all. The Spaniard is quick, great in the air, loves a fight and a scrap and most importantly, he knows where the back of the net is.

His 20 goal tally, whilst not starting every week was quite impressive numbers from last season. He’s also a player that Mourinho will know inside-out, due to the fact that the pair have previously worked together.
