United will be hoping for a much easier away day than the one we encountered last week at Villa Park where we relied on Javier Hernandez’s goalscoring exploits to drag us out of the deep stuff. Last seasons encounter at Carrow Road also relied on United to display our powers of recovery again as Ryan Giggs’ late goal snatched the points after Grant Holt gave Norwich the lead.
This year, we will have to do the hard work without Wayne Rooney who hasn’t made the bench today due to his injury sustained against Villa last week. Ryan Giggs comes into midfield in place of Paul Scholes, whilst Lindegaard starts in goal in place of de Gea, who misses out due to dental treatment in the week. On a positive note, Phil Jones makes the bench for the first time this season. Michael Carrick makes his 400th appearance as well as featuring in every Premier League game for 1 year for United.
Starting XI: Lindegaard; Rafael, Smalling, Ferdinand, Evra; Valencia, Carrick, Giggs, Young; Hernandez, van Persie.
Substitutes: Johnstone, Jones, Cleverley, Anderson, Scholes, Fletcher, Welbeck
