Confirmed Man United XI vs Aston Villa (Premier League away, 2019/20)

Manchester United have a chance to move within one point of Leicester City in fourth place tonight, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer naming the players he trusts to do it. The confirmed Man United XI vs Aston Villa is now in…

The Red Devils have been in brilliant form since lockdown ended, while Villa have been struggling. This should be a formality for United, right…?

Well, no Premier League game is straightforward and Dean Smith’s men, fronted by Jack Grealish, will certainly be up for the fight.

Anyway, let’s get right into the confirmed Man United XI vs Aston Villa:

In goal, David de Gea keeps his place in the side despite a pretty big error this weekend against Bournemouth.

The same can be said for Harry Maguire, who captain’s the side and keeps the armband. He’ll play alongside Victor Lindelof, who overcame a back problem in time to start. Luke Shaw and Aaron Wan-Bissaka play on the left and right flanks respectively, completing the back four.

Nemanja Matic will sit at the midfield’s base. He’ll be tasked with protecting his defenders while keeping it simple with the ball at his feet. Paul Pogba is flourishing alongside Bruno Fernandes at the moment. As the old saying goes, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Both play here from the off.

Anthony Martial leads the line after a stellar strike last time out. Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford, who both were on the score-sheet against Bournemouth, play again here.

If it isn’t going well for United, there are several players United can call upon off the substitutes bench to try and change things; including the likes of Fred, Scott McTominay, Juan Mata and Odion Ighalo.

Let’s get a huge three points here today please Reds!
