Confirmed Man United XI vs Chelsea (Premier League 2020)

Tonight, Manchester United Football Club have an opportunity to truly get themselves in amongst it.

With a win, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Reds will get themselves in amongst it where Champions League football is concerned. Lose, the task is made nigh-on impossible.

After a two-week hiatus, this United squad will be feeling fit and fresh, going out there with a point to prove. Fortunately for us, we tend to play better when the pressure is on, going up against quality opponents. Chelsea will give us a huge test this evening.

Anyway, the confirmed Man United XI vs Chelsea is now in, with the Baby Faced Assassin springing several surprises on us – in regards to both personnel and system.

It does once again look like United will start with a back five, with David de Gea getting the nod in between the goalposts.

There is no Victor Lindelof in the squad, so in comes Eric Bailly at the heart of defence. Luke Shaw also starts in a centre-back role, alongside captain Harry Maguire. Aaron Wan-Bissaka plays as the right-back while Brandon Williams gets the nod over on the left.

Nemanja Matic plays fresh off his suspension. He’ll be ready to impress against his old side, while Fred, who continues to go from strength-to-strength will be raring to go. Bruno Fernandes starts his first Reds away game. He’ll have to be the link between midfield and the front two.

Anthony Martial and Daniel James start as the striker partnership. Mason Greenwood and Odion Ighalo are on the bench. They could well be called upon if things aren’t going our way in the second 45.

Come on boys!
