Confirmed Man United XI vs Club Brugge (Europa League second leg, 2020)

This evening, Manchester United Football Club have a job to do. I don’t care if it’s scrappy, and the football’s unattractive. The Red Devils simply must win this game.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer rotated his team last time out, and he’s done so again here although to a much less extent. Changes have still been made by the Baby Faced Assassin, which is essential given the fact that we’re still fighting it out in multiple competitions.

What’s my biggest concern is that there is no Anthony Martial in the squad. Hopefully, he’s not nursing an injury as he’s been in great form over the last week. Anyway, let’s get right into the team news…

Confirmed Man United XI vs Club Brugge

Sergio Romero is the customary Europa League goalkeeper, and although he made an error last week, it’s only fair that he starts today.

Luke Shaw gets the nod at left-back ahead of young Brandon Williams who definitely needs a prolonged rest. Aaron Wan-Bissaka plays on the right, with Harry Maguire starting. There’s also a place in the team for Eric Bailly.

Scott McTominay makes a first start since Boxing Day. No doubt it’ll be good for him to get the minutes under his belt. Fred plays, while there’s still no space in the squad for Andreas Pereira which is interesting. Bruno Fernandes is also involved.

Odion Ighalo makes his full debut in Martial’s absence, while Daniel James moves back to the left-wing with Juan Mata occupying the right-flank.

Come on boys!
