Manchester United simply need to win tonight, to keep up the pace with Leicester City in fourth. Anything less than three points has to be deemed a failure. Let’s get right into the confirmed Man United XI vs Crystal Palace.
Manchester United have three games left. The maths is simple. Win all three and play Champions League football next season. Drop any points whatsoever and top-tier European football feels unlikely.
Tonight is a real test. Crystal Palace away is never easy, though Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will go into this one desperate. If we perform at our best, there’s every chance we can win. Anything less than 100% and it becomes a tricky fixture.
Check out the confirmed Man United XI vs Crystal Palace:
David de Gea does keep his place in goal, as expected. No doubt Wilfred Zaha and company will keep our Spaniard busy this evening.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka plays at right-back, with Timothy Fosu-Mensah, yes you did read that right, playing over on the left. Both Brandon Williams and Luke Shaw are excluded from the match-day squad. Harry Maguire keeps the captain’s armband. He’ll partner Victor Lindelof.
Scott McTominay comes into the XI in place of Nemanja Matic who drops to the bench. The Serb definitely needed a rest, while the Scotland international will be looking to make an impact. Paul Pogba also looked a little leggy last time out. However, he keeps his place alongside Bruno Fernandes.
The other injury doubt, Mason Greenwood, has been passed fit. Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial make up the team.
There’s plenty of attacking power on the bench should Solskjar need it late on. However, it’s looking pretty threadbare defensively. Hopefully, everyone can come through this game unscathed…
