Our confirmed MUFC XI for a huge Premier League game vs Crystal Palace is now in.
Well, unfortunately, the rumours are true. Today, Manchester United are without Bruno Fernandes for the first time ever through injury. It’s credit to the durability and flexibility of the man who has become the heartbeat of this Red Devils team.
Erik ten Hag no doubt finds it much more difficult without his captain, though, as they say, the show must go on. The honour of wearing the armband falls to Casemiro, who is no doubt relishing the opportunity – and what a proud moment it is for the Brazilian and his family.
The squad itself is in an absolute mess. No Marcus Rashford, no Harry Maguire, as well as the absence of Bruno – and many others. Alas, it’s time for some other players to step up and pull their weight. What an opportunity for some of the youngsters on the bench, including Toby Collyer.
Anyway, the full team news is now in, so let’s give you a rundown…

Andre Onana is one of very few straightforward selections for the manager here. This United side needs to see a top tier performance from the Cameroon international this evening.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Diogo Dalot will play in the full-back positions here, though I’m not 100% on who will play on the right and left-hand side. I’d much prefer to see AWB on the right and Dalot over on the left. Jonny Evans is the surprise inclusion. He has been out injured recently and I’m not sure how fit he actually is. If he can give United a half, that’ll be a bonus. Casemiro is the other centre-half.
Kobbie Mainoo has been United’s best player of late. He has been an absolute joy to watch and hopefully, that continues this evening. Christian Eriksen starts alongside the young man from Stockport, with Mason Mount handed his first appearance from the off in months.
Rasmus Hojlund is leading the line as per usual, with Antony on the right and Alejandro Garnacho on the left.
Come on you Reds!
