Manchester United Football Club have a real chance at silverware in this season’s FA Cup competition, with today’s game against Norwich City presenting the Red Devils with a chance to make it into the final four.
The game itself will undoubtedly be competitive, though United have been on a good run recently. They’ll be looking to continue that form here.
As expected, though, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has rung the changes for this one. With games coming thick and fast, this was always likely to be the case – though a few key faces have remained in the XI.
Sergio Romero starts in between the sticks, with David de Gea dropping to the bench.
Luke Shaw keeps his place in the team at left-back, which is somewhat surprising given Brandon Williams’ emergence this term. Diogo Dalot makes a rare start from off the right-hand side, while Eric Bailly partners captain Harry Maguire at the heart of defence.
Scott McTominay gets the nod in that holding midfield role alongside Fred. Bruno Fernandes will play. He’ll again be tasked with carving out opportunities.
Juan Mata starts, presumably off the right-hand side, while Jesse Lingard will play off the left. Odion Ighalo is the main striker – making his first start since extended his Red Devils loan deal…
