Three points here for Manchester United would be massive. David Moyes will undoubtedly have something to say about that. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s selected his team. It’s time for the confirmed Man United XI vs West Ham United.
Well, it has certainly been an interest season, but United will make their final Old Trafford bow of the season in under one hour’s time. Hopefully, we finish with an all-important victory.
The game itself will not be easy. David Moyes will be looking to prove a point, as he still feels his sacking by United was unjustified. Well, Dave, with all due respect, you had to go…
For United, it’s about not underestimating their opponent. On their day, this West Ham side can hurt teams, just ask Chelsea. If the mindset is right from the boys in Red, we should have enough fire-power to get the job done. We just have to be careful.
Anyway, let’s get right into the all-important team news…
Check out the confirmed Man United XI vs West Ham United in full here:
David de Gea does keep his place in between the sticks, though a genuine argument can be made that Sergio Romero Should have been given the nod.
Here’s where it gets interesting… Timothy Fosu-Mensah will start at right-back in place of Aaron Wan-Bissaka. Over on the left, Brandon Williams gets the nod. Captain Harry Maguire will partner Victor Lindelof at the heart of the back four.
Nemanja Matic sits at the midfield’s base, though we’re going to need to see a far more dominant performance today. Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba play at the heart of the midfield.
Anthony Martial leads the line in a far more familiar 4-3-3 formation. Mason Greenwood plays off the right, while Marcus Rashford is over on the left-flank.
This team should have enough to get the job done. If not, there’s plenty of quality on the bench. Hopefully, we won’t need it, but it’s there if required. Luke Shaw and Eric Bailly miss this one with injury.
