The confirmed Man Utd XI vs Burnley has now been named by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Well, troops, this is it. We’ve been waiting a while, eight years in fact, to see us top the Premier League table at this point in the season. Tonight, we have that opportunity.
Burnley away is never easy despite the fact that Manchester United have an excellent record away at Turf Moor. The players have to be both physically and mentally prepared for what will undoubtedly be an extremely tough match-up.
With a huge prize at stake, you’d imagine the squad don’t need motivating for this one. However, it’s still up to manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to get his tactics spot on.
The team news is now in and there are no surprises to learn that the Baby Faced Assasin has gone super-strong here.
Confirmed Man Utd XI vs Burnley:
David de Gea starts in between the sticks, with the Spaniard having to be fully concentrated here. No doubt there are spells where United will dominate play but he must not let his high standards slip.
As Solskjaer said yesterday, Harry Maguire plays here. Eric Bailly will be the Englishman’s captain fresh off a minor neck issue. Aaron Wan-Bissaka plays in the right-back slot, with Luke Shaw starting over on the left-hand side of defence.
Nemanja Matic sits at the base of the midfield here, with Paul Pogba being brought back into the team. Bruno Fernandes plays. Obviously…
Edinson Cavani is starting. Yes, you read that correctly. El Matador has served his three-game ban and he’s ready to go here. Marcus Rashford starts, probably on the right-wing, with Anthony Martial returning to the left-hand side of the attack.
The bench is jam-packed with quality and game-changers. From Donny van de Beek to Mason Greenwood and Alex Telles. There’s quality options all over the field should Solskjaer need them.
Come on you Reds!
