The confirmed Man Utd XI for our game vs Chelsea is now in, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer springing a huge surprise…
Manchester United Football Club needs to get a result here. This game could be massive in regards to our top-four hopes, while denting Chelsea’s bid at the same time would be a nice bonus.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has an excellent track record against Thomas Tuchel, though this is a different kettle of fish for our Baby Faced Assassin.
In terms of injuries, we’ve mixed news. Edinson Cavani hasn’t made it, though the massive surprise is Scott McTominay being back fit and available for selection.
The gaffer has made a couple of bold calls, more on that later. For now, it’s about hoping we have enough quality on the pitch to come away from Stamford Bridge with at least a point. My initial feeling before kick-off is one of positivity…
Check out our confirmed Man Utd XI vs Chelsea in full:
The first big call is David de Gea keeping his place in the side ahead of an in-form Dean Henderson.
Onto the back four, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Luke Shaw start as the full-backs. It’s arguably the best wing-back combo in the country right now, so no shocks here. Harry Maguire always starts when fit, though today, Victor Lindelof is his partner. Personally, I’d have gone for Eric Bailly.
Scott McTominay starts, which is a massive-yet-unexpected lift. His mobility and presence is going to be huge. Fred will bring the energy to the midfield, with Bruno Fernandes’ quality undeniable.
It looks as though Mason Greenwood will start as the lead striker here, which is a massive opportunity for the young man. Marcus Rashford plays off the left-wing, while Daniel James presumably gets the nod on the right.
Donny van de Beek does make the bench, along with Antony Martial and young Amad Diallo. These are our real game-changers if they’re needed…
