Confirmed Man Utd XI vs Crystal Palace (Premier League away, 2020/21)

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has rung the changes for Manchester United’s Premier League game against Crystal Palace.

Manchester United Football Club are probably playing to finish as best of the rest – and a win tonight against Crystal Palace will help us in that cause.

The Red Devils’ main goal will be sealing their place in next season’s Champions League. At this point, we’re sitting pretty in that regard but things can change very quickly.

For this one, I fully expected Solskjaer to go as strong as possible in terms of team selection. In fact, the gaffer has done just that – making a few unexpected-but-pleasant changes in the process.

So yeah, the team news is in. There is no place in the squad for no Donny van de Beek, Anthony Martial, David de Gea or Paul Pogba, who all must be suffering from injuries. Anyway, let’s get right into the all-important team news.

Check out the confirmed Man Utd XI in full vs Crystal Palace here:

Dean Henderson replaces David de Gea in between the sticks, while De Gea isn’t in the squad. This hints at an injury to our Spaniard, though it’s a change I would’ve made anyway…

Aaron Wan-Bissaka starts at right-back, obviously, while Luke Shaw plays from off the left-hand side. Harry Maguire starts and captains the Reds. He’ll partner Eric Bailly at the heart of our back four.

Nemanja Matic comes into the side in place of Scott McTominay, who wasn’t 100% fit at the weekend. With a huge game against City coming up it makes perfect sense to rest him here. Bruno Fernandes and Fred both start in midfield as per usual.

Edinson Cavani returns and leads the line tonight, which is a massive boost to our hopes. Marcus Rashford plays off the left flank, with Mason Greenwood completing the XI.

Suddenly, our bench is looking somewhat threadbare. There is places amongst the substitutes for both Shola Shoretire an Amad Diallo though…
