The confirmed Man Utd XI vs Leeds United has been named by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, with the Baby Faced Assassin springing one major surprise.
Manchester United haven’t met Leeds in a Premier League fixture for over a decade. Today, that’ll change. It’s just gutting that no fans will be in attendance for this one.
The key for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side is to not underestimate their opponents. Leeds United play some lovely football and Marcelo Bielsa has them extremely well-drilled.
United cannot afford to start this one slowly, either. From minute one, our eleven players have to be right at it as any little mistakes will be punished in a game of this magnitude.
Anyway, the team news is now in, with Solskjaer naming one major surprise amongst the starting XI. Daniel James is involved from the off. Yep, you read that correctly…
Check out the confirmed Man Utd XI in full here:
David de Gea returns to his goalkeeping duties with Dean Henderson now back on the bench.
Luke Shaw starts as he continues to make his recovery from injury, while Aaron Wan-Bissaka was always going to start on that right-hand side. Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof play.
Scott McTominay’s mobility and physicality will be massive here, while Fred’s engine is equally as important. Bruno Fernandes starts this one. Obviously…
Marcus Rashford looked super-sharp on Thursday night so let’s hope he puts in another top display here. Anthony Martial leads the line while the aforementioned Dan James completes the front three.
The bench is loaded with quality like Edinson Cavani, Donny van de Beek, Paul Pogba and Mason Greenwood. Let’s hope they’re not needed!
