Attentions turn to the FA Cup today, with the confirmed Man Utd XI for their game vs Leicester City now in.

Well, after progressing in Europe on Thursday, Manchester United now face a tough test against Leicester City in the FA Cup. Winning a trophy this season is an absolute must for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

That’s why I find it surprising when I see so many changes have been made. Look, I get it, Solskjaer has a responsibility to keep his players fit. However, heading into the international break, I just assumed he’d go full strength here with an FA Cup semi-final place at stake.

Sadly, Marcus Rashford nor Eric Bailly have been passed fit for this one. There is some better news in regards to Edinson Cavani and Anthony Martial, though. Both make the squad. Let’s get right into the all-important team news.

Confirmed Man Utd XI vs Leicester City in full here:

Dean Henderson does keep his place in between the sticks, which is a huge show of faith from the Baby Faced Assassin.

Alex Telles comes into the side in place of Luke Shaw, which is one of many changes made for this one. There is no rest for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who starts on the right-hand side. Harry Maguire plays and captain’s the Reds, with Victor Lindelof continuing.

Nemanja Matic is included in the line-up, with Scott McTominay dropping to the bench. Fred starts, as does Paul Pogba – though I doubt he’ll play for the full 90. There’s also room in the team for Donny van de Beek who has been begging for an opportunity.

Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood lead the line here, unless the aforementioned Pogba is playing in a more advanced role, meaning Greenwood could well be on the right-hand side.

Fernandes, Amad Diallo and Edinson Cavani are the game-changers on the bench. Let’s hope they’re not needed.
