The confirmed Man Utd XI vs Leicester City is in, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer making some big team news calls for this one…
Manchester United Football Club have a huge chance to get themselves in amongst it with a victory today. However, Leicester City will be an incredibly-tough opponent as they’re in great form themselves.
It’s up to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to tactically-outwit a Brendan Rodgers who has his Foxes playing some lovely football at the moment. The first big gamble made by the Baby Faced Assassin? It looks as though United are playing five-at-the-back.
I never like it when the formation is switched up, though United’s plan for this one seems obvious – hit Leicester City on the counter-attack.
There are some big calls made here, while the loss of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, presumably through injury, is a tough one to take. It is great to see Scott McTominay is back fit and ready to go though. Anyway, the confirmed line-up is in so let’s get right into it…
Check out the confirmed Man Utd XI vs Leicester City full:
David de Gea gets the call-up in between the sticks for this one, with the Spaniard set to be heavily tested by Jamie Vardy and co.
Here’s the first big change. It looks as though Daniel James starts at right-wingback in the absence of Wan-Bissaka. He’s going to have a massive test ahead of him. Luke Shaw plays over in that left-wingback slot. Harry Maguire captain’s the side, with Eric Bailly and Victor Lindelof also playing.
The aforementioned Scott McTominay is back in that enforcing-midfield role and we’re going to need a massive outing from him today. Fred will bring the energy while Bruno Fernandes will be tasked with carving out the opportunities.
Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial play as the front two. No doubt these guys will give Leicester’s defence plenty of troubles.
Donny van de Beek, Paul Pogba, Edinson Cavani and Mason Greenwood are the highlights on a jam-packed substitutes bench.
