Confirmed Man Utd XI vs Liverpool (Premier League away, 2020/21)

The confirmed Man Utd XI for our huge game vs Liverpool has now been named by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Well, here we are Reds. It’s time to show the world how far this team has really come. Win today and go six points clear of Liverpool, while breaking their pretty impressive home record at Anfield.

Obviously, that’s easier said than done, though this is the most confident I’ve been going into this fixture in years.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s job of picking the side to do that isn’t an easy one, with at least a few changes always expected from the game in midweek.

Anyway, the official United Twitter account have confirmed the starting line-up, so let’s get right into it…

Confirmed Man Utd XI in full vs Liverpool:

David de Gea starts in between the sticks, with our superstar Spaniard having to be at the top of his game in this one.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka plays at right-back, with the in-form Luke Shaw starting over on the left-hand side of defence. Harry Maguire starts, but he’ll partner Victor Lindelof, not Eric Bailly…

There’s a four in midfield here, presumably with Scott McTominay sitting at the base. Fred will bring the energy while Paul Pogba simply had to start here after his recent form. Bruno Fernandes obviously starts.

Solskjaer’s gone for a two up top, with Anthony Martial keeping his place in the side alongside Marcus Rashford.

Personally, I’d have gone for both Eric Bailly and Edinson Cavani for this one. Both are just too good to leave out, while their replacements aren’t in the best of form right now. The good news? They’re on the bench should we need them.

Come on you Reds.
