Confirmed Man Utd XI vs Newcastle United (Premier League home, 2020/21)

The confirmed Man Utd XI for our game vs Newcastle United is now in…

Well, the league title may be gone but United should go into every game with a point to prove. After all, we’re still looking to build for next season.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has given us a fantastic base to start from and as long as we keep winning, a finish in the top four should be a bare minimum this term.

Today’s game against Newcastle United won’t be easy, mind, with United having to be at their best to scoop up all three points in this one. Despite injuries hurting the squad hard, Solskjaer still have ample quality to choose from.

The team news has now been confirmed by the official Twitter account and there is one big surprise…

Confirmed Man Utd XI in full here:

David de Gea does keep his place in between the sticks, with Dean Henderson considering himself unfortunate to be back on the bench.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka starts at right-back for this one, with Luke Shaw coming back into the team on the left-hand side. Harry Maguire plays, as does Victor Lindelof.

Nemanja Matic sits at the midfield’s base in Scott McTominay’s injury absence. Fred brings energy to the midfield, while Bruno Fernandes always starts when fit.

Anthony Martial leads the line with Edinson Cavani still missing through injury. Marcus Rashford plays off the left-wing, with Daniel James the surprise inclusion off the right.

The game-changers on the bench are Mason Greenwood, Juan Mata and the wildcard options for the gaffer are Shola Shoretire and Amad Diallo.`

Come on you Reds!
