Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s United have a 4-0 lead, which is why I thought we’d see the changes rung for this one.
Instead, the gaffer has decided to go strong. There are no surprise inclusions in terms of youngsters getting starts, with Solskajer going for experience here, in an effort to get this one put away early.
Given the injury crisis that’s hitting the squad, this is an excellent opportunity for our so-called fringe players to prove their worth. Anyway, let’s get right into the all-important team news.

Dean Henderson was always likely to start this one in goal, let’s be honest. He’s been our cup keeper all season long so why change that habit here?
Aaron Wan-Bissaka is a surprise name in the team, as this match always had the feeling of one where he could have been rested. Over on the left, Alex Telles gets the nod ahead of Luke Shaw. Harry Maguire is given some time off, with Victor Lindelof and Eric Bailly both starting.
Nemanja Matic sits at the midfield’s base, with Scott McTominay still not fit enough for this one. Fred starts at the heart of our midfield, with Bruno Fernandes starting, and captaining Manchester United Football Club.
Daniel James makes his third straight start, which is more than deserved given his recent form. Mason Greenwood is included from the off, as is Anthony Martial. Both of whom could do with a goal for their confidence.
In terms of youngsters on the bench, Nathan Bishop, Ethan Galbraith, Shola Shoretire and Amad Diallo will all be hoping to see some game-time. All being well of course!
