The confirmed Man Utd XI for their game against WBA is now in, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer going all guns blazing here…
Games like these simply have to be won if you have genuine title aspirations. Sure, Manchester City are going to be hard to catch, but we have to give it a real good go.
Three points hear is a necessity, by any means necessary. I don’t care if it’s a scrappy 1-0 via a dodgy penalty in the ninth minute of injury time. However, we’d all hope it’s far more comfortable than that!
Make no mistake about it, West Brom are a better side than their league position suggests. We’ll have to be on our A-game from minute one here. Just look at what Sheffield United did to us when we weren’t at the races…
Anyway, let’s get right into the all-important team news.
Confirmed Man Utd XI vs WBA in full:
As expected, David de Gea returns to start in between the sticks. You’d hope he has a better game than last time out…
Aaron Wan-Bissaka always plays when fit, as does Harry Maguire. Luke Shaw is in the form of his life right now so he gets the nod ahead of Alex Telles. Victor Lindelof is preferred to Eric Bailly.
Scott McTominay has arguably been our most improved player this term, so it makes sense to keep his confidence flowing and hand him the start. Fred comes into the side in place of the injured Paul Pogba, while Bruno Fernandes is included from the off. Obviously.
There is a change to the front three. Mason Greenwood is benched, meaning Marcus Rashford will likely play off the right-wing in this one. Edinson Cavani leads the line, with Anthony Martial over on the left-hand side of the attack.
There is firepower on the bench, with the aforementioned Greenwood and Telles amongst the subs. Donny van de Beek and Juan Mata are also possible options should we need them.
Come on you Reds!
