With rivals dropping points this weekend, the Red Devils have a massive opportunity to push on in the race for a spot in the top four. It’s time for our predicted Man Utd XI vs West Ham.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United team are just so hit and miss. From beating Manchester City in the derby last weekend, to limping over the line in a 1-1 draw against AC Milan just four days later.
In today’s edition of Red Devils roulette, let’s hope the world-beating United team turn up. West Ham will take no prisoners, even without Jesse Lingard available to them. Solskjaer has to get his players mentally prepared for this one. Win here and we’re looking in excellent shape for a Champions League berth.
Injuries are mounting, though. Solskjaer is without as many as ten first-teamers for this one, though it’s still a strong starting XI named by the baby Faced Assassin.

Dean Henderson does start in between the sticks, with David de Gea still unavailable due to quarantine rules.
The back four is pretty much the only area that has been untouched with injury. Aaron Wan-Bissaka plays at right-back, while Luke Shaw starts over on the left-hand side. Harry Maguire starts and captain’s United, with Victor Lindelof completing the back four.
Scott McTominay does start at the midfield’s base here, with Fred coming back into the starting line-up. Bruno Fernandes will have to be on his A-game this evening – particularly with the young, inexperienced front three ahead of him.
Mason Greenwood leads the line with Edinson Cavani and Anthony Martial both unfit. A half-fit Marcus Rashford starts from the left-wing, with Daniel James completing the team.
The bench is looking sparse, particularly in that final third. Who knows, Amad Diallo or Shola Shoretire may well get some playing time here.
