Our confirmed MUFC XI for the Carabao Cup game against Barnsley is now in.
Manchester United Football Club begin their Carabao Cup campaign at home to Barnsley this evening, as the Red Devils look to progress to the next round safely.
The game itself should be a one-sided affair given the gulf in quality between the two sides, but make no mistake about it, Barnsley will be working hard to try and cause an upset.
Erik ten Hag was always going to rotate for this game, at least in some capacity, as he looks to utilise his squad to the fullest. There has perhaps been less rotation than expected, though, with some household names in the team from the off.
Anyway, without further ado, let’s give you the full rundown, with the team news now in.

Altay Bayindir comes into the side for what is just his second start since making the move to Old Trafford. The Turk will be looking to prove his worth.
The back four is interesting. It looks like we could see Jonny Evans starting in a left-back position here, with Diogo Dalot over on the right. Casemiro looks to be sat at the heart of defence alongside Harry Maguire.
Manuel Ugarte comes into the team for his full debut, with Toby Collyer also making a rare start. Christian Eriksen makes up the midfield trio here.
Marcus Rashford appears to be leading the line, with Antony and Alejandro Garnacho on his right and left respectively.
Come on you Reds!

Good playing by our Man.Utd. superb playing by our Rasford and Garnacho. See he is a Red forever. Antony also making good progress. He has got that special kind of play. Casemero, Harry Maguire, Eriksen all good team leaders. Your Captain Bruno will be watching and will be mighty proud of his team.
Erik Ten Hag you are also finally getting it right. Now you are in a better position with some your players back from injuries.
Keep going now and try to get better and more faster and more accurate with the passes. It is your confidence that is so sharp from these last few games that keeps growing. We can see the sharpness in Rashford especially now. Keep up Rashford, you are on the roll for good times. A bit of advise
always as a team fight for each but not with each other. We saw it for today that it was that team spirit that signified Man.Utd as United they will stand together.
