Our confirmed MUFC XI for the Premier League home game vs Bournemouth is now in…
Manchester United take on Bournemouth under the floodlights at Old Trafford this evening, during a game in which nothing less than three points will do.
As Erik ten Hag, these are the sort of matches that you simply have to win. Regardless of what team is named, you have to ensure victory here.
Anyway, the gaffer has seemingly chosen this match as his opportunity to rest up a few familiar faces, in order to get some fringe players their opportunities.
Raphael Varane is dropped to the bench, while Antony doesn’t even make the squad. There’s a few different players brought in, too. More on that shortly…
Check out our confirmed MUFC XI vs Bournemouth in full here:
David de Gea was always going to start here, with the Spaniard making some top-class saves last time out, helping his side on their way to three points.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka does keep his place in the side despite the return to fitness of Diogo Dalot. This is a big game for the Englishman. Over on the left-hand side, Luke Shaw gets the nod. Harry Maguire partners Victor Lindelof at the heart of the back four…
Casemiro has oozed class lately. He’s rapidly becoming the most important player in this team. He was always going to be involved from the off here. Christian Eriksen keeps his place in the line-up, as does Bruno Fernandes. Presumably, the Portugal international will play in that #10 spot.
Donny van de Beek is the surprise inclusion, with the Dutchman likely starting off the right flank. Marcus Rashford plays off the left, with Anthony Martial completing the XI.
