Confirmed MUFC XI vs Brighton (Premier League away, 2022/23)

Our confirmed MUFC XI for the Premier League away game vs Brighton is now in.

Manchester United can further tighten their grip on a place in the top four here, with a victory away at Brighton. Make no mistake about it, this one will not be easy, with revenge on the mind for our opponents.

Erik ten Hag will need to manage this one perfectly – both in terms of his starting line-up, and his substitutes. Brighton are an extremely dangerous opponent.

If United bring anything other than their A-game, this could get embarrassing. Don’t forget Brighton turned us over at Old Trafford to start our season. We’d love to avoid a repeat here.

Anyway, the team news is now in. I’d argue this is as strong as United can go at this moment in time, so let’s give you the full rundown.

Check out our confirmed MUFC XI vs Brighton in full here:

David de Gea obviously starts in between the sticks here, with the Spaniard looking to play well and preserve his place atop the Golden Glove charts.

At right-back, Aaron Wan-Bissaka comes back into the side – presumably to deal with Mitoma. Over on the left-hand side of defence, Diogo Dalot gets the nod. Luke Shaw continues at centre-back alongside Victor Lindelof.

Casemiro is included in the XI, alongside Fred. It has been a while since the Brazilian pair have started together. Bruno Fernandes completes the midfield trio.

Anthony Martial has come off the bench in the last couple, but he’s thrust back into the line-up here. Marcus Rashford moves to a more familiar left-wing spot, with Antony completing the XI.
