The confirmed MUFC XI for our Premier League game vs Burnley is now in…
Manchester United return to Premier League action this evening, in a game against a Burnley side who are scrapping for their lives at present. Credit where it’s due, Sean Dyche has done a brilliant job with the Turf Moor club during his tenure.
So-much-so that we always get a tough battle against Burnley, season-in-season-out. Tonight will be no different, with our lads going to have to be at their absolute best if we’re to win all three points in this one.
With the Red Devils playing 120 minutes and penalties on Friday, some changes were going to be made. Perhaps the big surprise is that there’s no Cristiano Ronaldo in the starting line-up here. There’s also no place in the squad for the Brazilian pair of Alex Telles and Fred. Both of whom have Covid-19.
Anyway, let’s give you a rundown of the lads who have been given the nod to start in this one.
Check out the confirmed MUFC XI vs Burnley here:
David de Gea has been back to his best this season, with his inclusion in the starting line-up an easy one.
Diogo Dalot does keep his place in the United side here, though Aaron Wan-Bissaka is back amongst the substitutes. Luke Shaw plays at left-back in the absence of Telles. Raphael Varane always starts when fit, with the Frenchman partnering club captain Harry Maguire at the heart of our back four.
Scott McTominay has arguably been United’s most improved player over the last twelve months. He’s now one of the first names on our team sheet. Bruno Fernandes starts, as does Paul Pogba. It’ll be interesting to see how the latter copes starting two games in quick succession.
Edinson Cavani leads the line after being granted some extra time off. No doubt El Matador will be looking to set the tone with his energy from minute one. Marcus Rashford plays off the left, with Jadon Sancho starting on the right and completing the line-up.
