Manchester United Football Club probably need to win all their games in order to finish in the Champions League places next season. That’s the tough reality of the situation that Erik ten Hag faces right now.

Nine games left. It starts with Chelsea away, which has often been a problem ground for the Red Devils. A positive result here, though, could lift the whole mood within the camp.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side have been doing better recently, so they will be feeling confident. United will have to use this as an opportunity to right their wrongs from last time out, as it was a truly dismal display against Brentford.

Anyway, the team news is now in. It’s pretty much as you’d expect, except for one major change, with Marcus Rashford being dropped from the line-up. He can’t really have any complaints, either. Let’s give you the full run down…

Andre Onana starts in between the sticks as per usual, with the keeper hoping for a quieter evening than last time out. I suspect he’ll be busy again, though…

Diogo Dalot plays in the full-back position. I’d hope to see him over on the left, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka switching back to a more comfortable right-back position. Raphael Varane and Harry Maguire are passed fit. This is a solid back two.

Casemiro is another who has been hit and miss this season, so let’s hope the top-class Case turns up at Stamford Bridge this evening. Kobbie Mainoo plays, with the youngster now among the first names on the team sheet. Bruno Fernandes starts and captains the side.

Rasmus Hojlund does lead the line here. To his left, Alejandro Garnacho starts, with Antony completing the trio.
