Our confirmed MUFC XI for the Premier League home game vs Crystal Palace is now in…
Manchester United Football Club need to be winning these sort of matches if they’re serious about finishing inside the top four this season. That much is obvious.
The Red Devils struggled against Crystal Palace last time out, with our opponents scoring a late free-kick to snatch a draw. United will have that game in the back of their minds, looking to put that right this afternoon.
With games coming thick and fast, I genuinely thought we’d see more rotation than we have done. However, Erik ten Hag clearly trusts a specific group of players, who have been starting matches every three days for a rather lengthy period of time.
Anyway, the team news for this one is now in, with the gaffer once again going for a very familiar-looking starting XI. So let’s give you the full rundown.
Check out our confirmed MUFC XI for the home game vs Crystal Palace here:
David de Gea starts in between the sticks here, with the superstar Spaniard hoping for a quiet afternoon.
The back four looks rather familiar these days. Aaron Wan-Bissaka has done superbly in the absence of Diogo Dalot. He starts again here. Over on the left-hand side, Luke Shaw plays. Lisandro Martinez partners Raphael Varane at the heart of the back four.
Casemiro has been brilliant for this young United side, with the Brazilian starting alongside his compatriot, Fred. Bruno Fernandes completes the midfield three. He also wears the captain’s armband.
Antony has improved over the last few games, so it makes sense to give him the start and keep that confidence flowing. Marcus Rashford will play on the opposite flank, with Wout Weghorst leading the line in the absence of Anthony Martial.
New signing Marcel Sabitzer is amongst the subs, as is Jadon Sancho and the aforementioned Dalot.
