Confirmed MUFC XI vs Everton (Premier League home, 2022/23)

The confirmed MUFC XI for the Premier League home game vs Everton is now in…

Manchester United take on Everton at Old Trafford this Saturday lunchtime, in a game that probably would have been a little easier a month or so ago.

Sean Dyche has rejuvenated this Toffees side, who’ll no doubt be more than up for the challenge this afternoon.

This is a game with genuine intrigue surrounding it. Win and United are looking good for a top-four berth – with teams firmly chasing them for that Champions League spot. Lose and we’re right back in the thick of it, battling Tottenham Hotspur to earn the right to play in the top-tier continental competition.

Anyway, the team news is now in, so let’s give you the full rundown.

Check out our confirmed MUFC XI vs Everton in full here:

First and foremost, David de Gea was always going to start this match. The Spaniard will expect a tough afternoon here.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka does get a start following a recent illness, with the Englishman playing well over the last few months. Over in the left-back position, Tyrell Malacia comes in for the injured Luke Shaw. Raphael Varane is benched, with Harry Maguire stepping in. He’ll partner Lisandro Martinez.

The midfield threesome of Bruno Fernandes, Marcel Sabitzer and Scott McTominay will continue here. Who knows who will play where, given Fernandes’ deeper role against Brentford on Wednesday.

It looks like Marcus Rashford will continue to lead the line, with Antony to his right and Jadon Sancho presumably to his left.

There’s good news amongst the subs, with Christian Eriksen back on the bench for the first time since his injury.
