Confirmed MUFC XI vs Everton (Premier League home, 2022/23)

Our confirmed MUFC XI for the Premier League home game vs Everton is now in.

Manchester United returned to winning ways in midweek, with the Red Devils overcoming a resilient Brentford side, 1-0. The game itself was a pretty one-sided affair, though another goal would have certainly been better for the nerves…

The games are still coming thick and fast for the Red Devils. From a Wednesday evening game to an early kick-off on Saturday. Everton are the opponents this time, with the Toffees playing far better of late under Sean Dyche.

Erik ten Hag will have to get it tactically spot on here, if the Old Trafford crowd are to be sent home happy come 2:30 on Saturday.

Anyway, let’s get right into the all-important team news.

Check out our confirmed MUFC XI vs Everton in full here:

David de Gea will, of course, play in between the sticks as per usual, with the Spaniard remaining the only realistic option in goal right now.

Diogo Dalot was good in midweek. He’s done enough to keep his place in the starting line-up here. There is a change at left-back, though, with Tyrell Malacia replacing the injured Luke Shaw. Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez make up the back two.

Marcel Sabitzer and Scott McTominay actually made a good partnership against Brentford, so it’d feel a bit harsh to break up that combination right now. Bruno Fernandes will start and captain United whenever fit. That will not change here.

Marcus Rashford was good as the main striker, providing the only goal on Wednesday. Keep that momentum flowing and get his confidence levels back to their dizzy heights. To his right and left respectively is Antony and Jadon Sancho. Both of them need to play well here.
