Our confirmed MUFC XI for a significant Premier League home game vs Everton is now in.
Manchester United have reached a truly significant moment in their season. Lose a couple more Premier League games and the slim chance of finishing inside the Champions League places will be over…
The Red Devils simply have no excuses but to go on a real winning run now, in order to put some pressure on the sides above them in the table. Granted, that’s easier said than done with injuries decimating the squad.
Today’s game against Everton is a chance to put the derby defeat behind them, with a confident performance (and result) the perfect response. It will not be easy, mind, with The Toffees fighting for their own lives.
Anyway, the team news is now in, with the gaffer naming as strong-a-line-up as possible given the current situation. Let’s give you the full run down.

Andre Onana starts in between the sticks as per usual, with the man from Cameroon now getting some of the respect he deserves after some top individual outings.
At right-back, Diogo Dalot remains the only choice, with Victor Lindelof continuing to man the left-back position, albeit not his preferred position. Raphael Varane continues to play at the heart of the back four, alongside Jonny Evans. The pair did well together last week.
Casemiro continues in a midfield duo alongside Kobbie Mainoo, providing the perfect blend of youth and experience. Sitting just ahead of them is Bruno Fernandes. He starts and captain’s United here.
The front three is somewhat interesting. Alejandro Garnacho will play on the wing, while I assume Marcus Rashford will man the other flank, meaning Scott McTominay is deployed as the false nine.
There is once again a youthful look to the substitutes bench.
