Our confirmed MUFC XI for the Premier League home game vs Leicester City is now in…
Manchester United Football Club take on Leicester City today, with a chance to close the gap on Manchester City while also widening the gap on Newcastle United. Both dropped points yesterday.
This is a huge week for the Old Trafford club, with FC Barcelona and a Carabao Cup final also on the horizon. With that in mind, Erik ten Hag could have easily made changes to the line-up here…
The gaffer has shown a preference towards sticking with the same core of players, despite playing games almost every three days over the last month or so.
Anyway, the team news is now in, with Ten Hag once again going strong. There are a couple of changes for us to talk you through, though.
Check out our confirmed MUFC XI for the Premier League home game vs Leicester City in full here:
David de Gea does keep his place in between the sticks, with the shot-stopper by far and away United’s best option in that area.
At right-back, Diogo Dalot is preferred to Aaron Wan-Bissaka, while Luke Shaw returns to a more familiar left-back position. Lisandro Martinez starts after his suspension in midweek, alongside Victor Lindelof, who must have trained well.
Casemiro’s suspension means Marcel Sabizter starts his third Premier League game in a row. He starts alongside Fred, with Bruno Fernandes playing further up the pitch.
Wout Weghorst leads the line as per usual, with Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho on his left and right respectively. Hopefully, these lads can get the job done.
