David de Gea has been back to his best this term and he starts in between the sticks here. Something tells me he’s going to have a busy afternoon…
From right to left, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Eric Bailly, Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw make up the back five. It’s up to our full-backs to bomb forward and provide the width when required – though that’s easier said than done against this energetic City side.
Scott McTominay sits at the base of our midfield and he’ll be tasked with cleaning up and doing the dirty work. Fred provides the energy and enthusiasm, while we’ll be relying on Bruno Fernandes to bring the craft and guile.
Cristiano Ronaldo always starts when fit and he’ll be looking to make his name in yet another Manchester derby. Perhaps the surprise selection is Mason Greenwood, who partners Ronnie up top.
There’s ample quality on the bench in the form of Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Jesse Lingard. Hopefully, we’re not turning to these guys to turn the game around.
