Our confirmed MUFC XI for the Premier League away game vs Nottingham Forest is now in.
Manchester United simply have no excuse but to win this football match. They have to capitalise on defeats suffered by both Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur this weekend – reaffirming their desire to finish inside the top four this season.
Nottingham Forest away will not be easy, particularly given the injuries suffered by the Old Trafford side, but three points here is an absolute must. I don’t care how they get it, they just have to win this game.
Erik ten Hag was always going to be forced into some key changes here, most notably at centre-half, though the team news is now in. The gaffer has tried to keep a core of key players together and you have to still fancy our chances in this game.
Anyway, enough chit-chat, let’s get right into the all-important line-up.
Check out our predicted MUFC XI vs Nottingham Forest in full here:
David de Gea’s inclusion is as straightforward as it gets. The Spaniard was always going to play here, during a game he’d hope to have a quiet afternoon.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka gets the nod at right-back here, with Diogo Dalot starting on the left-hand side. It seems as though Tyrell Malacia has picked up a problem. The back two is familiar; Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof both start, with the pair not filling us with confidence in the past…
Casemiro is back after his domestic suspension and no doubt the man from Brazil will bring a calmness to that area of the field. It seems as though Bruno Fernandes continues in that deeper role, with Marcel Sabitzer given the freedom to roam.
The front three remains the same as it did in midweek. All of Jadon Sancho, Antony and Anthony Martial played well at times in that outing. So let’s see if they can repeat that display here.
Come on you Reds!
