Our confirmed MUFC Europa League starting XI for the game vs Omonia is now in…

Manchester United have the opportunity to really prove their Europa League credentials this evening, putting themselves into serious contention to progress from their group after an opening day defeat.

Omonia represents tough opposition under Neil Lennon, with the Cypriot outfit pushing United all the way last week. The Red Devils should expect an equally-tough fixture this time around, too.

Erik ten Hag was always going to name a strong team for this one. As his squad continue to get used to the Dutchman’s high-pressing style. At the end of the day, though, whatever side United put out should have more than enough fire-power to win this victory.

Anyway, the team news is now in, so let’s give you the full rundown…

Check out the confirmed MUFC XI vs Omonia (via @ManUtd) in full here:

As expected, David de Gea does keep his place in the side, with Martin Dubravka made to wait for his full debut.

Over in the right-back slot, Diogo Dalot gets the nod as Aaron Wan-Bissaka remains sidelined. Tyrell Malacia comes back into the XI after being hooked at half-time in the away tie against Omonia. Lisandro Martinez once again partners Victor Lindelof at the heart of the back four.

Casemiro does play. This time, alongside his Brazil teammate Fred as Christian Eriksen is given some well-deserved rest. Bruno Fernandes gets the nod. He also wears the captain’s armband.

Cristiano Ronaldo leads the line fresh off his goal against Everton on Sunday. Over on the right, Antony starts as per usual, with Marcus Rashford playing off the left-wing.

There’s plenty of talent on the bench if required, though let’s hope those guys remain nice and cosy there!

  1. Man.Utd are playing okay but they still need a bit of moving forward and keeping possession of the ball. They should try to practice scoring on target. I think Antony can score for Man Utd. Maybe, it is his position where he is unable to do so. Casemiro and Rashford are trying hard. Good luck to them. They suddenly slow down the game and that is where they are against time.
