Our confirmed MUFC XI for the Europa League home game vs Real Betis is now in…
Manchester United were humiliated last time out, though the good thing in football? There’s always a chance at redemption.
The Reds’ opportunity comes in the Europa League, with United having a serious opportunity of going all the way in the tournament.
Tonight’s opponent, Real Betis, should not be taken lightly. They’re a top team who can hurt anyone on their day. They deserve to be where they are, at this stage of the competition.
There was much talk about the starting line-up for this one. Would Ten Hag ring the changes? Would he drop those who underperformed against Liverpool? Well, he’s done quite the opposite in fact – naming an unchanged side.
Check out our confirmed MUFC XI vs Real Betis in full here:
David de Gea starts in between the sticks here, with the Spaniard certainly hoping for a better evening under the Old Trafford floodlights.
Diogo Dalot starts at right-back here, though the urge to give Aaron Wan-Bissaka a chance must have been tough to resist. Luke Shaw plays after what felt like his worst display in years, while Lisandro Martinez partners Raphael Varane.
Casemiro, who is usually the glue that holds this team together, will be looking for a big performance here. He’ll partner Fred in midfield, with Bruno Fernandes starting in the number ten slot. He also keeps the armband.
Wout Weghorst leads the line in the injury absence of Anthony Martial, with Antony and Marcus Rashford on his right and left respectively.
Come on United!
