Our confirmed MUFC XI is in for the Europa League quarter-final vs Sevilla.
Manchester United Football Club are into the final eight of the Europa League, with a game against Sevilla on the agenda for this evening.
Old Trafford will be loud, with revenge on the mind against a side who have become our European bogey team over the last five years or so. Make no mistake about it, Sevilla head to Manchester looking to upset the Red Devils yet again. United will have to be at their brilliant best if they want to take a lead over to Spain for next week.
Erik ten Hag hasn’t been helped by an injury to Marcus Rashford. While Scott McTominay’s absence will also be hard-felt.
Anyway, the starting line-up is now in, so let’s get right into it…
Check out the confirmed MUFC XI (via @ManUtd) in full here:
David de Gea was always going to lead the line here, with the superstar Spaniard set for a busy afternoon in front of a packed out crowd here.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka gets the nod at right-back here, ahead of Diogo Dalot, which could suggest a counter-attacking style from the Old Trafford side. Over on the left, Tyrell Malacia plays in place of the injured Luke Shaw. Raphael Varane starts alongside Lisandro Martinez, making up United’s back two.
Casemiro returns! No doubt the man from Brazil is keen to make a positive impact on the side, alongside an in-form Marcel Sabitzer who is loving life in Manchester. Bruno Fernandes plays in the #10 slot.
Anthony Martial makes his first start in months, with the Frenchman hoping to boost morale upon his return. To his right and left respectively is Antony and Jadon Sancho – a pair of players who still find themselves with a point to prove.
